A wall pipe Canadian from Jerry's in Appleton WI via Uhles, a Peterson Flame Grain #264 (too short to be considered a true Canadian) and a Savinelli Toscana #802 ][/url]
Well, I came across this nice silver banded Canadian made by the New England Briar Pipe Co. about a month ago. It's related to Kaywoodie pipes and has the same shape number as a Kaywoodie. So I thought I'd just throw it in here as it's an interesting pipe, and a great smoker to boot!
My latest Canadian a BB&S Ltd. This was listed as a Barling, Pipedia describes it as a sub-brand of Barling. Seller stated the pipe was purchased in 1966. Feel free to chime in with any info :puffpipe:
This will make eleven Canadians in my collection, this shape has really grown on me
Some of the pipes from a year ago have too short a shank to be Canadians....but are beauties in their own right.
John- That's an outstanding bit of work. Is the band near the bowl joining pieces or just a decoration?
Thanks, Dave. Great chart.
@ troutface: I was referring to the ratio of the shank to the bowl height as to falling in or out of the Canadian (Lumberman, Lovat, etc.) category. Some are clearly too short.
