The Birdseye stamp came into use in the 1950’s. Beautiful pipe! Not the best pics, but soon I’ll get a group photo of all my Barling pipes.
Barlings Make S-M, shape 92.
Aside from some buffing down of the bit, it’s remained in very nice shape- even saving the stem logo quite well.
Definitely deserved a “Birdseye” stamp. I don’t know what decades that was commonly used, nor what decade this pipe was made.
Roughly guessing- late 30s to late 40s?

So that would ALMOST have to put it in the 40s.The Birdseye stamp came into use in the 1950’s. Beautiful pipe!
What’s stamped on it? Model numbers were rarely used in the 30’s.So that would ALMOST have to put it in the 40s.
Something about the overall pipe doesn’t give me “pre- mid-30s” vibes.
Early 40's, wartime production, based on the style of the logo stamp and the lack of other stamps. It’s basic with stamps, no TVF.
