Sold by J.J.Fox, no less.
Definitely makes me curious about its provenance.Sold by J.J.Fox, no less.
Looks like ‘70’s. Probably made for Imperial by Oppenheimer. What era is this one? Full disclosure I’m trying to get enough correct info to eventually sell it. It was with a bunch of pipes from the 80s and had a price tag of $35 on it from the store, but I cleaned it off.
Not quite the same charm as the old Barlings but that doesn’t matter when they look that good.My first two Barlings and they are beautiful! Perfectly drilled fit and finish and lovely packaging!

I sent Michail a copy of the WW1 era Barling catalog that I had restored and distributed since he expressed an interest in making pipes in the older stylesMichail Kyriazanos made these for me but no cases

Though it's not actually in my hands yet, I just wanted to show off this Barling-banded BBB (is there a BBB thread?) that @RustiePyles CPG re-stemmed for me. He's done an absolutely sterling job! I love billiards with diamond shanks, and this one is a great example. Looks like the keel of a boat from the front.

I’m pretty sure I saw that in a Star Trek episode about 55 years ago.
My apologies,
