I think more like 2020 for the Fuente Fuente Opus X lighter. I believe this line was introduced by DuPont to celebrate the 25th anniversary of that cigar. Arturo Fuente Fuente Opus X cigars were introduced in 1995.
Pretty sure your lighter is from the first Dupont OpusX lighter batch in 2004-2005 unless they made a second batch.

Fyi, the lighters came in black, red, and white/red version. Some sold solo and most were sold in sets with cutters and/or pens.

Yeah, 2004-2005. I have had that same Opus X L2 for 20 years now. Always works. Congrats. A rare one. The red and gold ones from the same period are nice too. Limited to 699 if I remember right.
One of the B&Ms I frequent has a 5-piece set available of the white/red/gold version.

Have no use for the table lighter, but could use everything else (Ligne 2 lighter, cigar cutter, rollerball, and fountain pen).

It has been sitting at the B&M since 2004-2005 and may add it to my collection if still available later this year.

Can anyone tell me what the small flat-head screw is inset within the flame adjuster on the bottom of an L2? Should it be tightened all the way or does it also affect the flame adjustment?

He chewed up the brass spline quite well with his sasquach pliers! Gotta get those pliers in there!!! There's a better way to do that...

looks like an L1 small
I cant tell from your photos if its a standard or BR
Take a picture with it open from the other side or looking down.

If its a BR it has a long cylinder thumb adjustment. Roll it upwards to increase flame. If it wont move it needs to be repaired or at least cleaned.

Duh… I see it now. Thanks, both of you.

At this point, the two on the right still had worn lid-stop pads, allowing the lids to open too far, so they all were replaced/upgraded before being shipped back. I don't seem to have final pics showing off the open lids, so feel free to post some up. Glad to hear that they are still doing well for you!
Hey, I’m trying to rebuild an old Ligne 1 BR small. Any idea on a video that shows how to assemble? Not sure on the whole piece with shoe lace hanging out. None of the videos Ive seen even show that part.

Dupont makes a number of limited editions. They made an Egyptian set and is uber expensive when you can find one. I saw one recently used, but in nice condition) It was about 1200 euros. Pretty cool but someone else can have it

This lighter and pipe set appears at page 141 of the Castello book. It was a joint project with Castello to celebrate the 130th anniversary of DuPont. Only 130 sets made. I’ve never seen one in person.

I have that set. Castello/ST Dupont have done a few pipe/lighter sets with fancy cases but this one as far as I know has the lighter that’s marked and is definitely the most affordable.
