The ONLY thing that matters in all of this is what I think! I've only been smoking the GH/SG for a couple years. I have some stuff from 20 years age on it and others from 2017 and lot's of the fresh stuff...Age totally changes the character of tobacco's so I can't compare to when things were fresh 20 years ago but the bottom line for me is that Gawith Hoggarth makes the finest tobacco's available in my opinion even if it's half of whatever it was in YOUR glory days.... so, the majority of us pipe smokers with the lakeland jones appreciate them and will continue to purchase our favorite blends from the Lake District. Punch these whiners in the teeth Rachel!!!

Gawith Hoggarth ain’t no holy cow, and I sure as hell ain’t gonna treat ‘em like one. If they drop the ball, I’ll call it out, plain and simple. Don’t like it? Move along. Ain’t nobody holdin’ a gun to your head, makin’ you read my words.

Maybe instead of wastin’ time cryin’ about my review, you do somethin’ productive for once—write one of your own. Who knows? Maybe you’ll make your goddess Rachel proud. Maybe she’ll descend from her golden throne to grace your thread with her presence, and you can bask in the glory of her approval.

But seriously—some of you folks, I swear. If GH’s rep came out tomorrow and claimed the damn sky was green, you’d nod along like obedient little sheep. And God help the poor bastard who dared to say it’s still blue—you’d chase ‘em through the streets with torches and pitchforks. It’s pathetic.

Date codes help when referencing batches. There are variations. All the Cabbies I've been smoking (a lot) has been 339 and excellent it is too.

I bought a box of St James Flake code 324, which isn't a patch on older stuff, so I'm jarring it long term - but a chunk of Plug I bought at the same time (no code, alas) is absolutely peaking. Batch variation. Roll with it, adapt to it.

Tobacco is organic, y'know.

I do miss the days when the sky was more of a deep forest green, rather than the pale olive green of recent.

I did ask @gawithhoggarth to crank up the hue like Bob used too, back in the ol' days.

She descended down in a Golden Glow (see what I did there) and reminded me to take my medication.

The sky is subject to variation.
Being a natural phenomenon and all.

I know we're not allowed to mention politics but as it could be effecting tobacco I was wondering what people thought about the tariffs that Trump has been talking about bringing in. Would that effect tobacco? The UK is outside the EU now so it might not but I keep seeing them being talked about in the papers.
