I guess the way I worded it one may have misunderstood. Can’t figure out their dating code scheme…? Not straight forward like other companies.
I wrote the Dec 22 date to Mark when I received it.

Yeah, the K&K date codes are different. You're looking at that A/E/J/V code, more info on decoding it here:

I was gonna say they wouldn’t all have landed labels-up. These haphazardly-staged photos, they are the distressed denim or natural edge furniture of Recent TAD Pickups.

All good...I wasn't trying to be obnoxious/unhelpful (I swear!). Actually, I also picked up a tin of this on my last TAD order from SP, chiefly because I do see Mark enjoying it repeatedly on the WAYS thread. My SOP for all VAs is to let 'em age, and this one's no exception.

I would not trust that at all for cellaring.

Immediately put my SG ones like that in a mason jar.

I was happy to see what I think is an improvement over their older bulk packaging but yeah, I agree. I just hate to cut/bend those nice long flakes into smaller jars...

Would bigger jars work? Maybe you could find something to occupy some of the air space if that's a concern.

Was browsing the Iwan Ries site and what do I see but tubs of Lane Ready Rubbed, which has been discontinued. Now en route, one tub of Lane RR, and two 7 oz packages of IR Virginia Flake, which is why I was out there in the first place.
