I can’t believe this stuff hasn’t sold out yet! I feel like the last few times it was released I blinked and it was gone! I had a sample of this back in 2016 (obviously a different batch) and I remember really liking it. These are going in the cellar for probably a good 10 years.

Does anyone remember what the highest sugar content was with these releases? I thought I heard someone say that the last release was a little over 10%. Anyone know what the percentage was on the 2016 release?

10.49% was the previous years sugar content. I believe all the editions released before that are 10.49% as well because they are the exact same batch, just tinned in different years. The sugar % is listed on the label each year.

I sat out this years, I am speculating others did as well because of the lower sugar in the new batch and they are stocked up. I have 54 tins of the previous releases combined.

That's a nice number to be sitting on. I've got 10x tins of 2020, 10x of 2019, 10x of the CRF w/Perique 2019 and 2x of the 2018 release. I really enjoyed the previous years, although I probably won't be able to tell the difference between sugar content as I don't have that much of a discerning palette when it comes to those small nuances.

Moreso, I would say that while yes, some may have seen the lower sugar content and decided against it, but I reckon that most don't give into the hype for CRF, considering that it also had a bad batch with mold upon first release and they are now butt sore forever. I however see it for the long haul. As I mentioned in a previous thread and with McClelland defunct, CRF makes a great replacement for the annual release of the sought after Christmas Cheer. I know it is far from the flavor profile, but it makes it a thing to look forward to each year.
