I’m currently using M365 Copilot which is a licensed version that is accessible through all of the M365 apps (Word,Excel, PowerPoint). This version of Copilot allows the chat function to access “work” data or “web” info. Our data, and Copilot chats and compositions are supposed to be secure. It doesn’t sound like that would be the case for non licensed users of a PC with integrated Copilot functionality. Certainly not something I would use.

Copilot, Edge, Bing, searching the internet when I just want to search for files using the search box, sending data out, stupid logos where I don't want them, 'Automatic Repair', etc. etc., so far I've turned all of that junk off using scripts & reg edits.
Expecting to shut off Recall, too.
P.S. Also currently running activated Win11 with no TPM module & getting updates just fine, suck it MSFT. Bootable fully-migrated backup drive ready to go if needed, suck it MSFT.

The fun part is when you realize that every oppressive dictator who murdered millions, from Genghis Khan to Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Chairman Mao, did it "analog" style: Spies, embedded informers, humans with weapons, and paper records.

Imagine what they could have managed to do if they'd known everyone's interests, activities, and associations at the push of a button, to a level of detail many orders of magnitude greater...

Why think about it?

Because humans never change, only the technology they use does.

You will be provided with the opportunity to earn additional credits through mandatory REEDUCATION at the nearest Carbon Compliance Camp.

The People's Bus will be by within the hour...please be ready and waiting at the curb.

The AI to worry about are the ones you’re not hearing about.
This is the key statement going forward and this sort of shit scares the hell out of me 👇 and you have to ask.......why would these two companies align.

That one's easy. Maximize profit. Companies are urging their customers to use their apps, like McDonalds. Why? Because the apps on your phone collect data that the companies sell to consumer data analytics firms which collect the data, organize it in meaningful ways, and in turn sell it to various industries to allow them to better increase what you pay. It's a form of price fixing, which while illegal for companies to do face to face, is currently in a gray legal area when it comes to receiving data from a 3rd party supplier for the same purpose.
