Crawfad, I’m in tears! I can’t imagine a cigar forum being nearly as fun.

Picture sliding a dinner plate under a heavy door, hearing guttural rasps and clacking of molars and the plate being slid back out, licked clean. —Cigar Forum Conversation.

SoddenJack, Hmmm. Pre-Ghosting a pipe? Meers don’t ghost, but would they “evenly color?” That’s cheating, but Me thinks fresh tobacco oils absorbed into a new meer just might be superior to saliva and tar.

Maybe that’s just me...

I certainly understand smoking some Straight Burly on occasion to clean out any ghosting.

Hmm maybe the idea of letting a pipe sit in a tin of Burley for a short period of time might also help? I say a short period of time, because for to long, could there be Burley Ghosting?

Hmm ?

Why am I thinking of Halloween right now? LOL ? ??

Hmm maybe the Burley Ghost.

In the Name of the Father, the Son and the “Burley Ghost”

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

That would be a superb name for a C&D Blend and I wish Bob was still with us to blend it. RIP, Sir.

Ok on a serious tone, smoking straight Burley is suppose to help clean out a pipe, could the same also work for storing a pipe a tin of Burley for a short period of time?

Hmm

Yea, but I need to try some codger shiz eventually... I feel like I'm codger minded already.
Gentleman,
We’re all Codgers. The dream is over. Let your “inner” Codger roam free. It’s liberating.

I have an interesting Codger rotation and I do smoke more than, Shhh GRANGER.

But I’ll share that in another post. I don’t want to highjack this thread.

Wait..... I’m the OP.

PipeIT,
I’m sorry, you’d asked a question and got lost in our banter.

I’d say yes. Leaving pipes in an open pipe rack foul a room. But with tobacco and pipe stored together they neutralize one another. Yin/Yang. Harmony.

The pipe comes out smelling delicious. The tobacco is a renewable resource and being smoked tastes delicious.

The tobacco absorbs anything the pipe dishes out and the pipe takes on the fragrant tobacco. Win Win

Amazing, literally less than 20 min ago, i opened a package that included 2 tubs of granger and then read this post. The tubs are much bigger than i expected and this seems like a great idea. I may be the 2nd one that does this now. Still a newb though, no codgery here

If my family ever becomes one of the great houses, these will be our words.
At $24 Per can, peeps will be buying my beloved GRANGER solely for pipe storage! While I suggest “smoking” it, if that helps keep the brand healthy, I’ve done a good deed! May they never stop production!

The Prince Albert “scare” is why we’re hoarders.

The nice thing about codgerdome is knowing you’re favorite! Enjoy.
