G&H? Baaaaaaaah..

Simple men are we who choose Hot Sauce Wings and Saucier Wenches over Dried Breast meat, Dinner Rolls and Smoking Lamps.

Here. Here. Pass the Grogg and Condor.
I’m not sure where you’re going. I’m happy you like Granger, I’ve never known anyone who did.
Im sure sticking your pipe in the tub does something magical for your one a day smoke.

I’m dropping a cob in my Granger tub and bury it deep inside the baccee- let it sit for a year or so - then pull it out and see what color the cob is. I bet it will be forever ghosted...which, could be a good thing.
Admiral,
I’m not sure ? a Pipe can be “Ghosted” if it’s swims with the only Blend it will smoke... May need a ruling.

Welcome to the Forum! I’ve only been here two days myself.

Mark Twain claimed to store his cob in the pouch and it would load itself - I don't know what Samuel Clemens did...
Jhowell,
Sam, I’m willing to bet, was the antithesis of a tobacco snob and likely saved and smoked his dottle; which raises my crude methods to aristocracy.

You can put your location in your Profile—(please!—because people will forget!) That will save questions in the future as to where you live when you later mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc., etc..
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. Just country if you must.

I would think, that if you simply put some of the tobacco in the chamber and just leave it there, for a good length of time, you’ll get the same results, without having to worry about any negative odors from the pipe leeching into the tobacco sitting soaking in the tin.

I often load a bowl and leave my pipe assembled in the can. It’s just convenient and my habit. Grab the can and hop in the car. Too easy.

I just returned from a smoke. My (local convenience store 7-11) has a seasonal Blueberry coffee. I just enjoyed a medium with cream and sat overlooking the water and the Berry note of Granger was nicely complimented.

Cleaned my pipe in the car, and back into the Granger it went. Too easy.

Don’t ruin the fun of it. This fellow is in love with Granger. That should explain everything.

Why
Oh, it will die. Granger has a very short inter web life.
Sticking a pipe in a tub will get a few lemmings to jump, but after the initial woweeewoy, it’s still just a tub of gooey low grade burley scraps.

Jpberg,

Sir,
No Forum Member I’ve interacted with is a “Lemming.”

The rest, I suppose, is your opinion, to which you’re entitled, but could have kept to yourself.

Constructive criticism, offered in friendship.

I tried to toss two of my pipes into a can and then into my truck but had to give up. Might try with my smaller 1963 Dunhill grp 4 another day, although I have a long commute.

This works. I had a ziploc full of LLRR that I take with me for the day sometimes and I threw my pipe in there because of this crazy thread and it's crazy OP.

When I went to take the pipe out, come to find out it's perfectly loaded. I haven't done it again, but I thought it was interesting.
