Rain - Love or Hate?

I love a heavy summer rain.
On the other hand, the damp, cold, windy rain of February I could do without.

I appreciate the rain for its value inland here in Michigan. If you’re on one of the big waters you know to beware of the potential danger. I spend a lot of time outdoors so there is no bad weather, just poor clothing choices.

I’m glad for rain because we need the water. I don’t enjoy walking in the rain and getting wet. But, at this moment, I’m sitting on the porch, enjoying a cigar; a gentle rain is falling, and the smell of the wet sidewalk right now is refreshing and seems like a quintessential summer aroma.

love the rain but i work outside so sometimes it can be a hinderance.

I ran concrete crews for years up until earlier this year. I liked rain if mud wasn't on the ground and we could leave. But you got trucks emptied and mud on the ground, rain is a nightmare. That's the only time I hated the rain

I hate and love rain. Hate it since I'm in south. It's been raining in the afternoon for last two days. That means nasty humidity. You can literally feel cutting through moisture just walking. But I also love rain. Used to grew figs. Still have two that's alive. Rain is a must for trees.

I'm in Georgia and am all too familiar with that awful humidity. You open a door and it just hits you

Here in the great Pacific Northwet (not a typo) you either love the rain or you move away.

Personally, the serene days of light rain and mist are perfect for a cup of coffee or tea and a pipe.

I long to live in these rainy areas.

It’s sunny in Arizona most of the time. A rainy day is a treat. A rainy day that I can sit under the patio and enjoy a pipe or cigar, wonderful. A cloudy cool day on the bike always nice; cycling in the rain,ehhhhh not so much.

Or when it rains incessantly for weeks and there’s is mould everywhere
Including the pipes

Oz rains make pipes moldy? Emigrate.

Always loved the rain. I have a sneaking suspicion that California is going to be seeing a lot more of it than they’re used to.
All those hyper aggressive drivers are about to get schooled. Seen it before.

I can appreciate and enjoy it within limits that have been mentioned but recognize it has the power to move right past love if it wants to. It is a fickle partner and my love is NOT unconditional.

Worked on a farm in the rain, duck hunted in the rain, shrimped with my Dad in the rain, joined the Navy and they gave me a slicker suit, they said this will keep you dry, I saidwhat will they think of next.
