Comoy's pipes are owned by Cadogan Comoys Pipes - Smokers - https://cadogan-gifts.co.uk/smokers/comoys-pipes

The tobacco was produced by STG, a big cigar company. You can check that on Tobacco Reviews. They may, or may not, have ceased production of the tobacco, but they have nothing to do with the pipes.

You, of course, know better.
I am not sure if the cigar company (Not STD)owns Comoy's or are just their distributor I may have been wrong about this but I have been told by reliable source(pm me if you want to know) that comoy pipes or tobacco are no more being made...reason is that this cigar company is more interested in sales of cigars and no pipes and tobaccos...STD was distributing or making those tobaccos untill Comoy's said no more of it....STD has nothing to do with pipes you are right about that..

OK, first off, STD is a Sexually Transmitted Disease. I have it on good authority that although some pipe smokers have STD's. STD's do not cause pipe smoking. That's a fact. You can look it up.

STG is the Scandinavian Tobacco Group. They are the largest producer, distributor and retailer of pipes and pipe tobacco in the world. They produce a large number of brands under license. Over the past couple of years, they have been trimming the number of SKU's and discontinuing underperforming brands. Also, some licensees (such as Dunhill) have opted out of the pipe tobacco licensing business due to a lack of profitability. I was a partner in a company that did just that a few years back, selling our brand trademarks to CI.

Word of advice: If you post about some "secret" information that "some guy" told you, expect a lot of push back from the knowledgeable membership here. Facts matter, and if you don't have them, don't pretend that you do.

I appreciate your reply....Sorry for misspelling STG...my mistake..I have no idea how that happened ...I know what this company is...So you are trying to tell me that STG discontinued Comoy blends for lack of sales?I do not want to name the guy who told me this publicaly for private reasons but he is well known in tobacco community and selling his blends for decades...and your word of advice-I totally understand..I was just repeating what I ve heard at the pipe show...And can not proof it other way...

Yep....Thats it..Thanks!..So it looks like Ventura cigar is just a bussiness partner and not the owner of Comoy's....
They became the distributor for Comoy's blends as well as 4th Generation. But, I clicked on their home button to get a current home page and it would appear that they may still represent 4th generation, but nothing about Comoy in their news section. And the last item for 4th Generation dates to 2019.

A little more searching indicates that current Comoy pipe production is/was being done at the Chacome factory in St Claude, kind of going full circle, back to the beginning.

I love most of the SG & GH plugs, twists and flakes. Availability has always been slim and near nil for the more exotic plugs.
Post Brexit and company mergers, is Synjeco still an option for those items not imported to the U.S.?

I haven’t read through this entire thread, so maybe somebody already mentioned this—paylesscigars has a bunch of Sam Gawith tins in stock

I should have been more clear about this: I do not have any first-hand knowledge of STG discontinuing Comoy's. I do not have any inside information on the fate of this specific blend. I do have personal experience with the overall issue, however.
