Well it keeps me regular. Nothing like that first dose of nicotine to bring on a morning poo.
As his current employer, I can tell you he is not joking. Moreover, that first bowl seems to be strategically timed so that I’m paying for his dump

Edit: just so everyone is aware, my jest is tongue in cheek. Ok bad choice of phrase

"How long have you been smoking, how many times a day do you smoke and how has your health been?"

Just curious on how long you all have been smoking and how your health has been during that time. I'm a relatively new pipe smoker (5 years on and off but 1.5 year religiously) and want to make this a lifelong hobby, seeing peoples pipe smoking journeys is inspiring and gives you something to look forward to going down the road!
I started when I was 16 I am 44 almost 45 now. I smoke two to three bowls a day and snuff and snus a ton. My health is mostly pretty good could lose some weight and eat less salt and sugar. But my lungs are in great shape and I don't seem to have any cancers.

Started smoking in college. First wife made me quit. I was about 25. I told myself if I ever got divorced, I would start smoking again. Got divorced at age 42. Started smoking for about four years until I broke a tooth. Not sure if it was from clenching, but I quit until five or six years ago when I was in my late sixties. At my age and total exposure I doubt I would have any adverse effects. I am in excellent health.
Unlike cigarettes, I don’t think there is a correlation between pipes/cigars and cardiovascular disease.
some but not to the degree. They don't know why but I personally suspect carbon monoxide being directly inhaled like with a cig isn't going to do wonders for keeping the heart and veins healthy. (carbon monoxide bonds to red blood cells and dramatically decreases the amount of oxygen they can carry. So it stands to reason that forcing the heart to pump more blood with less oxygen supply would wear it out.

You’d be surprised what the baseline level of carbon monoxide is in cigarette smokers.

Technology can frequently cause depression. Hence, in order to successfully recover from depression, it is required to meet with specialists and it is crucial to select a psychotherapy and counseling consulting room members.australiacounselling.com.au/consulting-rooms-for-rent/ . After then, technology development can be pursued in a tranquil manner.
Well, I've been doing it for over six years now, and I'm not going to quit.

Since 1965 when I was 10, my Brother stole a couple of pipes from a local store and we loaded them up with tobacco from butts, when we found a cigar butt that was luxury, then when I was about 12 I had a part-time job and started to buy proper pipe tobacco and have never looked back, my health has always been ok, rock and mountain climber, amateur racing cyclist right up until I was 40 then I knackered my back in a industrial injury, 3 operations on it and now I go mountain walking when ever I can, still fit for my age and and enjoying my pipe more than ever.

My college roommate introduced me to a pipe. I've never smoked a cigarette and I've only rarely enjoyed a cigar, but I've always enjoyed a pipe.

I've been smoking off and on for 20 years. Anywhere from a bowl a week to forgetting about it for years. I rediscovered the pipe during COVID and now I'm at about a bowl a week. More when the weather is good. Less when it's cold.

Health is good, but Dr. AmEx said I have an awful case of PAD. I'm afraid it's terminal.

I've been partaking in tobacco products since I was 14 so going on 37 years. Picked up pipe smoking at 16. Dips and chew, you betcha. I quit cigarettes in my 30's. Cigars have never been my thing but I will smoke one on occasion. Healthy according to the doc.
I enjoy an occasional pipe as much as anyone or I wouldn't be here, and I used to smoke cigars occasionally although I haven't had one in a long time. So I'm not here to judge by any means. But I do wonder about a doc telling you it's healthy? I'm honest enough to admit that no form of tobacco use is healthy, though some forms are worse than others.

Ron… I took his statement to mean the doc said HE was generally healthy….. not that his tobacco use was healthy to do.

On and off since my teens. Say 50 years.
These days I smoke a lot. Generally 10-20 bowls a day. No joke. I work from home so there is no upper limit.
How do I feel?
Compared to what?
I haven't been sick enough to see the doc for a decade or so.

Off and on, mostly on, for over 50 years. Hasn't directly affected my health as of yet. Of course, that doesn't mean jack. There's an element of genetic luck of the draw in all of this.

My dad didn't start smoking cigarettes till he got a DWI, he picked up the habit when smoking in jail was still allowed. Had to do 90 days in the county when I was 10 or 11, he was around 40 years old. He passed away 2 years ago at the young age of 59. Smoking had nothing to do with his passing. I've been smoking as long as him sense I started cannabis and cigarettes as a pre teen. My health is great for being in my early 30s I have alot friends who's body's are falling apart and they never smoked a day in there lives.

All that to say, just live your life as happy as you can because tomorrow isn't promised. Smoke um and drink um if you got um and be thankful we can enjoy another day with the people and things we love most.
