If I have caused a false media spectacle, I apologize a thousand times! I, of all people, hope this is not at all true. I was just going on what I was told, and am going to email Russ right now. Hopefully, I was completely wrong (and I don't say that phrase a lot).
If Prince Albert goes away, that's not big deal. Now, if Velvet and Mixture 79 get on the ramp to extinction, that's another matter... :laughat:
Cheers,
Chili
I'm under the impression that hardly any newer generation pipe smoker has much of interest in those old timey blends, they aren't enough interesting and sophisticated to contemporary pipe smoker tastes.
I can handle Captain Black, SWR, and Carter Hall, but there is something nasty about PA that just doesn't appeal to me.
However, it is still a popular RYO. And, those that love PA, really love it. Most of the PA guys I know, only smoke PA, all day every day.
Paul, I've always thought it had a pretty good following. If you click on the "Top Selling" tab on the P&C website, it is right there, literally in between Lane 1Q and Captain Black. PA is not the only blend I like, but I like it enough to be irrationally distressed over the thought of it not being available!
I thought that we were still awaiting a verdict. Isn't Russ going to show up with the head of a CS personnel and wave it about as a warning to the rest of the phone dispatch?
We're addressing this to find out where this "information" came from. It will be addressed with our staff, and I apologize for any panic this may have started.
Russ
It's not too late prairiedruid. If all of the internet based their information on us, they likely haven't read the follow up yet and are still out there panicking. (I am completely kidding, please don't profit from this!)
