I bought a Coffin Case for mine. As far a bang for your buck, Schecter is hard to beat. At $500, it had a Graphite Neck, Active EMGs and Grover Tuners. It was very light, but built like a tank. The sound was good enough that I could run direct into a mixer and still sound like a million bucks.

Whoa, slow down there papipeguy, I bang away at my guitars with some basic scales and simple chords, enough with all that "musician" talk!!!
Nightmarejones, you kind of look like Ed Robertson, the lead singer from the Barenaked Ladies, in that picture!

adam12- That is a Reverend Rocco. I visited Joe Naylor at his factory in Michigan before I bought it so it is an Eastpointe made guitar.. Hands down it has the best neck I have ever played.

I am officially jealous - those are rare items and I have only casually heard about how great they play!

I have a Gibson Thunderbird Bass, and a Tama 6 piece Jazz set (but four of the drums sit in the naughty corner of the room.) All Zildjian and Mein Cymbals (10 in totall, not
including the two high-hat sets i have) I only use four or five of them though. If this thread is still alive in two weeks when I'm home I'll post pics! :puffpipe:

It's warm enough here in Ohio for a little patio strumming.

Heres my bass. Its a galveston. I don't know how to play though. The guitar was my dads, and The bass I got at a pawn shop for cheap. But I still haven't learned to play

Mike that Alvarez is sweet. Like that cutaway, kind of a cool option!
Uber - go get yourself a little bass amp and plug that baby in! Then grab some mp3's (uh, we used to say records, tapes, whatever) and just jam along to them. That's how I started... Then, you can put an ad looking for a group of folks to jam with

Right on adam12 that's how I learned bass. The nice thing is the human ear can "hear" low bass frequencies much easier than higher piched sounds so it makes it easy to tell if your hitting the right notes when playing along to the recordings.
Uber hold on to that guitar your dad gave you that thing is a classic.

Hey Mike, I love the Alvarez, I had one for a few years and my wife has too (don't know why, she has no idea how to play...) I live in Ohio as well and got to strum my Eastman out on the porch today.
