I tried to place an order tonight for tobacco. Only the second time I have tried to order. The first time my bank rejected the purchase as the request came from Belize and was not the order price.

Tonight I first, I had to reset my password. Second, their program wouldn't allow me to put in a shipping address prior to checkout. I selected paypal and it picked up all the past (deleted from paypal) shipping addresses from paypal but not the current (some were others' I sent gifts to) . I had to edit the address and their system froze on me. I had to go back several pages then deleted the order from my account and signed out.

Their shipping charges are outrageous and take away any low price benefit. $12.99 for 3 day shipping and I am only two states away. I was ordering Sutliffe 507-C but can get the same amount of PS LNF from SmokingPipes.com with free shipping for less.

There will be no third attempt.

Then I'd only find out weeks later after still no shipment that actually I never paid for the order and they have my account on hold and most of the products in it are either out of stock or double the sale price of when I placed it.

I ordered Sat morning, Free shipping, they shipped Saturday afternoon from South Carolina; it went to Bayonne NJ Monday and sat all day. At 6:19 a.m.Tuesday it went to Secaucus NJ then to Connecticut and out for delivery at 9:37 am and delivered at 4:37ish. That's basically two day delivery to me with free shipping.

it’s perhaps easier to say STG won’t get any of my money again when one has a huge cellar. That said, STG including P&C will never get a cent from me again. I wish Aimee all the best and hope Smokingpipes’s realizes what a great person and job she performs, pays for relocation and gives her a raise.

I try to make it a priority to patronize the sponsors of this website and my two local brick and mortars. SmokingPipes.com provides incredible customer service, quality control, great selection, fast shipping and solid packaging. Their website is seamless, although a photo of what’s inside the tin showing the cut would be a nice addition. Laudisi is clearly committed to pipe smokers for the long term.

I have purchased from P&C for many many years and have never had any problems. I guess maybe it depends on which day you place an order (luck of the draw ).

I use P&C alot, mostly because I live in an area with basically no brick and mortar pipe shops.
We have a crappy local smoke shop that mostly sells cigarettes, some mid-tier cigars, weed pipes disguised as tobacco pipes with a couple cheap tobacco pipes thrown in for effect, and like 5 OTC blends. Otherwise there's a couple chain shops with even less to choose from.

P&C is far from perfect, but generally they're pretty marketed toward less-experienced smokers with more budget constraints (at least in my experience as one of those smokers) and they fill that niche pretty well.


As for the bad...

Their tracking system is hopeless, their packaging often shoddy, and as mentioned by SobrBiker above they innundate you with random sponsored coupons for worthless junk in every package you get from them. Also their rewards/rebate program is kinda weird to navigate so I didn't keep that after my trial expired.

However, they sometimes have pretty decent sales and I've never had anything arrive wrong or broken personally in the year and a half or so I've been shopping with them. And their customer service was good the one time I actually had to call them, so I guess that's the best answer I can give.
