Permethrin is a synthetic form. Basically the same thing but not actually derived directly from the plant. Still very or likely more effective.
This. Shoveling mulch in the rain with my son and a bowl of grandpas ghost (st Bruno match) in a cob.
I usually create my Pipe Heaven with the right weather, timing, pipe tobacco and scenery, in that order.

Pipe heaven, for me, is being in the Utah/Arizona/Wyoming/Oregon backcountry, watching the sunset with my beloved and my beloved dogs, post camping dinner of prime NY strip, enjoying a bowl of perfectly dried aged FVF. I had a couple of those moments, this summer, and tried my best to live in the moment and enjoy them, because it just doesn't get any better than that.
Current: When the neighborhood has gone to sleep and I can sit at the wooden pagoda without being bothered by children or noise with a hot cup of peppermint tea, a podcast and a nice bowl.
Dream: Camping somewhere in Michigan or other place with my wife sitting next to a fire with a hot cup of peppermint tea with her company and a bowl that isn't too offensive.
