For me: A brisk drizzly autumn evening walking the dog to the liquor store with a pipe full of Peretti.
I’d have to agree with the drizzly autumn evening but not out walking in it. I’d have to say lounging on a couch on a screened porch overlooking the autumn landscape from up on a hill with some espresso and my wife not nagging me about it.
Get yourself a Thermocell for the skeeters. I use them during the early part of deer season, because I hunt on some creek bottoms where the mosquitoes will pick you up and tote you off if you don’t do something. Doesn’t make much of a smell, and it really works. They take about ten minutes or so to really clear them out, but they work. After a day of good work and good martial arts training, tired on the back porch with a good book, only a few dozen mosquitoes around instead of a few hundred, and a big fat Viking Tribord full of C&D Burley Flake #1
