It smokes the way a pipe should smoke. It stays pretty dry, the bowl does not get very hot, and smokes extremely cool. The bowl is deep and narrow, and the pipe sits perfectly in my mouth ( it is a good clench-er ). I love this Pipe!
Another ebay estate Dunhill I picked up a couple weeks ago that I have been working on. A 1967 Group 2 Root Briar. The stem wasn't quite as bad as the Bruyere I restored before...but the inside...ewww. I don't think the previous owner believed in pipe cleaners...it was NASTY.

Looks great Bytor. What did you get those for on ebay? I think you said once but I cn't find it. In any case nice catch and nice work.
Vitor: How big is the bowl and chamber on that Sarah Eltang?
Ghost: Far out pipe man. Nicely Done! Who will be the next PAD vicitm? These 2 threads are becoming quite mingled.
Phil was up late eying a horn(ish).
The first two ('75 Shell & '67 Bruyere), I picked up for $190 shipped (total).
This last one ('67 Root Briar), I picked up for $110 shipped.
Total cost $300 for three Dunhills!
As for the threads getting intermingled...I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner!
Jonesing,
In the past, I used to see Geiger pipes listed under "Love Geiger". I always thought that was a far-out name for a brand of pipe.
It never occurred to me that Love was someone's first name.
Mr. & Mrs. Geiger do make some beautiful pipes.
