awesome - i was just about to start a pipe pictures thread.
i know i just posted pics of my first true pipe, so i'll follow it up here with a pic of what i'm usually doing when smoking. took this after i cleaned out the pipe after tonight's smoke. tolkein + pipe + coleman chair + summer night = ecstasy.

How does the cross grain look?

From the top picture the grain on the front of the pipe look very nice, and straight as well.

My Altinok Meer is finally starting to show some coloring. Here it is brand new:

Bubba: Lot's of straight-stemmed pipes, which, I think, is not too typical of most collections. Is there a reason you don't own many bents?
Bronx: I like that first close-up -- the chubby. Is that a Savinelli 320? And if so, does it have a filter? I've been this|close to pullin' the trigger on something similar.
