Pretty certain if Moby Dick ever existed, then this old boy would have had a go at catching him. The pipes were smoked upside down, to keep water out of the bowl, now that is a skill.

Closed in 1981. The Highland soldiers from the facade were auctioned off and the rest went to Perth Museum. I wonder where those soldiers are now?
