Yeah the X105 is only available in sandblast and rusticated for this year.Welp, I'm giving up. Not a single smooth, ebony or heritage X105 in sight. I'd settle for a 102 but they're a little too small for my tastes. Ah well, I'll keep an eye out I guess and hope they add more in-between now and Christmas.
Damn! That's frustrating to hear. Well, maybe I will have to consider a 102.Yeah the X105 is only available in sandblast and rusticated for this year.
Do it! Just consider it your quick smoke pipe I'm on the opposite end of your as I think the 102 is too long though I find the bowl size good.Damn! That's frustrating to hear. Well, maybe I will have to consider a 102.
If it's any consolation, I got a rusticated B42 with the copper spigot the last time they did them for Xmas and the combo looks way better in person than in the photos. I just got a D17 in the heritage finish and will probably get an X105 in the rusticated because they actually look great with the copper spigot. Great size pipe, too, that's perfect for a med-long smoke.Damn! That's frustrating to hear. Well, maybe I will have to consider a 102.
Just bought the x105 in the sandblasted finish. The smooth finish would probably have been my first choice, but I was late to the game. My third briar, the cobs are losing their favor with me fast.If it's any consolation, I got a rusticated B42 with the copper spigot the last time they did them for Xmas and the combo looks way better in person than in the photos. They didn't make the x105 in Anthony l anything but sandblast and rusticated so you didn't miss out.Just bought the x105 in the sandblasted finish. The smooth finish would probably have been my first choice, but I was late to the game. My third briar, the cobs are losing their favor with me fast.
I totally agree about the copper matching the stain and the silver not. The cordovan/maroon has a warmth that's right at home with the copper whereas it's in contrast with the coolness of the silver.I caved, but I'm excited for this little guy. The silver spigot rusticated never grabbed me, but the copper pairing is something that just clicks.

I was just trying to look around, and kept getting a page that said there's too much traffic right now . HahaWhat were you looking for? I'm guessing it was a small guy like a 230 or 338.
Well you had the true CPG experience! Here's a list of the pipes that were released in case you want to try and find a specific one. The 221 is the equivalent non-system shape of the 314.I was just trying to look around, and kept getting a page that said there's too much traffic right now . Haha
Is this a complete list of the shapes released? I thought I saw some Tankard shape smooths. It's a shame they're only releasing such a limited range and number of the smooths, they're the only ones I'm keen on. But at that price I haven't made up my mind - some look great, some look like they have poor grain and some even look like they have small marks and dings.Well you had the true CPG experience! In my experience, if you want nice grain and no fills/dings in a modern day Pete, you're going to have to wait for a $300 + natural smooth or even more $$$ - a supreme. Is this a complete list of the shapes released? If it's listed as 'Heritage' then it's not uncommon for it to have some smalls dings, fills or even pits. At least in my experience, I bought an XL11/Sherlock Holmes Original for the 2022 Christmas release and was a little disappointed with a few pits. Since then it's garnered even more dings and dents and maybe it's the copper but it all feels like it fits the pipe. Doesn't hurt that it's a $130 spigot rather than a $180+ one either. Is this a complete list of the shapes released? I thought I saw some Tankard shape smooths. I ended up caving last night and went with a 102 Heritage. I'm fairly confident I could find an X105 rusticated somewhere at least in the next couple weeks so if the 102 is disappointingly small then I'll send it back to SPC and go for the 105.If it's any consolation, I got a rusticated B42 with the copper spigot the last time they did them for Xmas and the combo looks way better in person than in the photos. Appreciate that, I'm not worried about well-done fills. My Rosslares (all a few years old) all have a couple of small fills. I'm more worried about pits and dings that haven't been filled. In my experience, if you want nice grain and no fills/dings in a modern day Pete, you're going to have to wait for a $300 + natural smooth or even more $$$ - a supreme.
Yeah the few Naturals I've handed have each had at least one sand pit and as much as four.In my experience, if you want nice grain and no fills/dings in a modern day Pete, you're going to have to wait for a $300 + natural smooth or even more $$$ - a supreme.
