Funny thing about the financial divide, as far as I can tell it's self inflicted as much as anything.
Americans have a somewhat unique mentality of using credit like it's cash in hand.
On top of that, people in the U.S. still have more opportunity than anywhere else to gain wealth from their own creativity, there's about six and a half billion people in the world who would feel absolutely empowered to have the resources of the average American.

How can this go so wrong?

Can you blame the lions and crocodiles for feasting all the time when the cattle are flinging themselves into open jaws?

Some days I feel enraged by the injustice perpetrated by all sorts of affluent organizations.
Some days I can hardly contain my laughter at the chaos of the masses.

I totally agree with you. But we must not forget the weasels who have turned the land of opportunity into a regulatory jungle. Endless red tape, and now also endless green tape.

North America, the land of working people with big ideas, where industrious kids can make some lemonade and sell it on the sidewalk. Uh-huh, till the cops come and shut them down because the kids didn't have a permit from the Health Authority.

Yet, we have empowered these weasels through our obsession with perfect safety. Yeah, we're in a morass of our own making. And the current 'crisis' will only result in much more regulation, I'm afraid. Black days ahead.

Yeah, I know. It's almost like we need a blend of Nationalism AND Socialism. A kind of third position. That would be refreshing.

I don't want to reinvent the wheel. If it was up to me we'd just go back to being a constitutional republic. But I know that's not going to happen...not in my lifetime anyway.

Well, it would at least be nice if there weren't so many criminals who are above the law.
