PAD, How do you control it?

Case in point, I just spent 5 minutes on eBay and won my first Dunhill and my first Julius Vesz. If ever I should cut myself off, it has to be now. On the other hand...WOO-HOO! (In French for my fellow Canadians- "Le Wou-Hou!)

I've only been pipe smoking for a short while and I'm already up to 6 pipes. I want to make one now too. Didn't think I would become this obsessed but here I am....

I'm new too... and I made it a point to make sure my first pipe was a high quality one... so it wouldn't leave me wanting... but a week later and I bought another one.

Really hoping that holds me...

I need to focus on getting better at smoking my pipe...

Not only do you need to learn your own technique best, but also you need to season the pipes you already have...unless they're estates. The more bowls you've smoked in the pipe the better it smokes.

I have a set amount that I can spend each month for all my PAD and Tad needs . Having weeded through all my pipes and only keeping the ones that give a exceptional smoke . Now I wait for the pipe to call my name so too speak . Last year it was two Gepettos this year only one Nording . But the year is not over .

PAD= Pipe Acquisition Disorder

TAD= Tobacco Acquisition Disorder
Also, if you see acronyms you have no idea about there's a tab off to the right of the screen to reference for future notice. One of the many reasons I love this site.

BTW the side bar for the acronyms is when you're at the main forum page. Off to the right it says Terminolgoy and Abbreviations. Sorry I left that out, my grey cells aren't working quite so well today. (point to all Poirot or Agatha Christie fans who got that)

Thanks lord. That's exactly what I was looking for. I felt like the odd man out! Lol. And to top it off I think I have both TAD and PAD. maybe I was better off not knowing.
