PAD Hitting Hard Lately

I've doubled my collection this year.

I absolutely loved the Savinelli Luisa Fiammata release. I got a smooth 614, and a pair of sandblasted 673s for me and my brother.

I snagged a Ser Jacopo Hawkbill when SP had their 15% off estates sale, and I found an unsmoked Denmark-era gold-crown Stanwell that I couldn't resist. And then I got a few more.

I was done buying pipes, but a member here wanted to part with a Castello Shape 11 Sea Rock that I'm breaking in tomorrow.

I feel like I'm good for a while, and my wallet agrees... until the next one.

The meerschaum bug has ran its course though after finding a giant Ali and getting one of his realistic octopus pieces.

Probably no progression threads but I'll occasionally show it in WAYS. I've only smoked it three or four times so far.



Seems like it and my larger meerschaums color faster than smaller ones.

Since then, I’ve gotten:

4 Pipes by Lee
1 Briarlee

2 meers
5 MM cobs
and I’m waiting impatiently on
1 Peterson Short Army.

I’ve only got 3 saved searches on pipes on eBay currently….

I think I’m getting the hang of this PAD

Yeah I went from 9 pipes in Oct ‘22 to 40+ now. The cost of my collection is now 10x more than it was in with those 9 pipes and I’m looking at a $500 Castello (which I’m trying to convince myself not to buy)

That would likely be one with a 5-6 inch chamber depth. Haven't come across anything that large that was attractively made.

Since 1989 I smoked exclusively only 2 pipes (i owned another few I never smoked because of their history)until 2012...Now I own more than 150 of them..I am trying to downsize but it is not easy...

Those are my preferred pipes. At my current rate of consumption, 1.5-2 pounds of tobacco per month, I have enough cellared for 45+ years.
