Very interesting!
I'd love to check out an Orton but I haven't seen a single one in my wheelhouse.

Lepipe.itit hurts! who did you order it from Italy?I used to get a few in older days and they always arrived...Just got one from Ireland and it arrived in 11 days...
What courier did you use?Lepipe.it
Amazing selection of unique pipes, excellent service, just the courier that sucks.
I'm scared to buy more pipes because it's like tossing the Mona Lisa into the ocean if another pipe goes missing.
The “bad” one has more of a taper on the mouthpiece, which is really the end that should be inserted into the bowl. The minimal taper is likely the reason it couldn’t penetrate.Great! Show us a comparison of the two when the new one comes in.
Bluegrass, why do you want to keep checking him out if he’s never produced anything in your preference range? Wouldn’t it be better to focus on others who have? There are so many; why spend time on Orton?Very interesting!

Wow, that’s really a pinhole! Glad you got a replacement.
I haven't seen any he's done in my preferred size range. Doesn't mean he hasn't or won't.Bluegrass, why do you want to keep checking him out if he’s never produced anything in your preference range? Wouldn’t it be better to focus on others who have? There are so many; why spend time on Orton?
Oh, thought you meant his style. Seems like you just want a bigger pipe. I was just curiousI haven't seen any he's done in my preferred size range. Doesn't mean he hasn't or won't.
I mean, if it's ok with you.
No typically when I refer to a pipe being "my type" or "in my wheelhouse" I'm mostly referring to its size.Oh, thought you meant his style. Seems like you just want a bigger pipe. I was just curious
Oh, that’s an interesting component that I had never considered as a main selling point, but I agree he has some cool stems. He seems to be able to do more colorful & unique stems than what I’d perhaps normally be attracted to, but they are tasteful and not disruptive to the overall composition, avoiding things that are too loud/garish.No typically when I refer to a pipe being "my type" or "in my wheelhouse" I'm mostly referring to its size.
I haven't seen a ton of Brian's pipes but the ones I have seen have been fairly unique - especially the stems. Im a sucker for unique and proprietary type mouthpieces so my curiosity regarding his is about those.
