P&C 20% discount

Pipes and Cigars is 2,866 miles from my house and my order got here (intact) in four days. That was with free shipping. That was my twenty-third order with them. The only problem was with one backorder that went on for months. Maybe I've been lucky, but for now I have confidence in them.

I order from them once to twice a month, at about $100-$300 a pop, and I have never had an issue. It takes 4 business days for the order to get to Alabama, using the free shipping. YMMV

Took a look at some McClelland stuff, $10.50 is now $10.75 on some of the stuff that I like. I figured that price increases were inevitable, so I'm glad that I bought a lot over the summer. I saw something listed as pre-order, Red & Black I think. Perhaps certain blends are not going to be made again until there are enough pre-paid pre-orders taken, like automotive suppliers with parts sometimes. You need that odd wiring harness? Better be ready to wait until 49 other people do too, and then we'll make it!

For the past four years it's been said, tobacco isn't going to get any cheaper. Even though things are on back order at P&C I've been placing orders.
I'm guessing I'll be finished by the end of next year with all my bulk in jars and my favorite blends in original tins. I expect a cut off point soon to where I have every block buster blend I like in storage enough to last long enough to begin my experimentation in growing my own tobacco and pressing it into plugs.
The 20 percent off at P&C is fantastic and I'm even purchasing tins on back order just to lock in the price.
The reality is that I'm expecting to try my hand at growing my own tobacco to ignore the new blends.
And if I can be honest for a moment, war horse taught me that I really don't need any new blends after live stocked away a good amount of blending Latakia.

I've got to say I've ordered from them plenty of times in the past and will continue to do so after having them give me a discount to an order placed 2 days ago.
By the way the customer service rep mentioned the code should be good until the end of the month.

I feel like the really great face of, and people behind, the company itself is vastly different, in attitude and care, than the warehouse/packing/shipping/customer service workers.

My order came really poorly packaged and 3 tins were banged up. Who puts 15 tins in the bottom of a box and then puts a very thin strip of bubble wrap along the top and considers that acceptable packaging?
I contact customer service and so far nothing.

I am having ongoing discussions to alternative packaging to avoid these problems. Our sister companies, who do a lot more volume than we do, are more cigar-centric, and the packaging works well on that side. I'm opening up a dialog to come up with something that will protect the tins better.
