2 tins and 2 coins. What did you do find them at a B&M and weigh them? nice either way!

I had a lot of tins, and YES sir, I weighed them to figure out which tins had the coins. Think their ratio was 1 in 10 tins got a coin. I can verify some people must have got lucky. For the amount of tins I had, I didn't have the coins to add up to 1 in ten. But one is all you need anyhow. Just like an everlasting gobstopper

If you jarred it, make sure to peel the label off the can. You'll notice a light blue film on the backside of the label. Peel it and you have yourself a sticker for your jar.

Dang, I just cut mine off and rolled it inside the jar

This is easily one of my favourite threads on the entire forum. Love seeing these just opened tins/pouches. I haven't opened anything new for a while as i've been running my rotation down to a more manageable level. When I do open something i'll definitely take a pic and upload it.

Almost out of 1792, so I got an 8oz box, born July 2023, dropped on our shores Dec 2023.



The “fresh from the grocery store heat and eat” packaging.
On my scale it weighed 8oz in the package, frickin shysters….


Flopped out upside down. About a quarter of tobak was broken, pulled flakes and a fair amount of almost shag.

Four ounces of the most intact flake for a big jar that’ll take a while to get to, and two for a backup. My good buddy at TWS Knives made me the razor sharp neck knife for hunting but I haven’t harvested anything since so it’s a great flake cutter.


Two ounces turned into ready-rubbed to refill my go-to jar.


All is well, and there’s an 8oz Cob Plug on the shelf. Dunno if I should trust the deli wrap or quarter that into jars

Opening a 8oz tin of Quiet Nights, almost 3 years old and it popped when I broke the seal. It's a broken flake blend, but I was getting some nice sized flakes in there as well.

That's how my 8 oz tin was as well, although maybe not as broken up as yours is. I like how they seperate each 2 oz with cardboard. It's nice to have that much in a compact tin, but I have since been buying 2 oz tins. Might buy more 8 oz tins in their ribbon varieties though. A few of mine purchased through Smokingpipes had 3 years of age on them already, but I'm saving them for a few more years. Can't wait! I'm sure yours is going to be excellent!
