Nice! I have a tin of this in my pipe drawer. Interested to see what you think of it.
I enjoyed this one quite a bit, myself. I've really been leaning toward the Oriental leaf influence quite a bit. And the "malty" that's described is prominent.
But I enjoyed it relatively close in time to my first tin of Steamworks. (Similar leaf + Perique)
For me, it paled in comparison to Steamworks and I'm glad I gathered 16 more tins to enjoy.
Opened some 2017 White Knight. I still am unsure who manufactures this blend. Sutliff offers the bulk yet some believe the tinned White Knight is under STG. I guess it’s all STG now. This one differs a bit from the 2023 stuff I have. Both are excellent. This one really is something special. The age has done amazing things for it. It’s the most exotic smoke I’ve ever had. There are so many spice notes complimenting the smokiness. I feel like I really missed out on something special with the Sobranie’s being gone.
Pretty sure it’s not my bag, but I’ve only had a couple smokes. I’m not writing it or the genre in general off, but I’m not itching to buy more.
Now I understand how the flavor strength can be assessed higher than the overall strength by people with better tasters than me.
Picked this bulged tin of GLP Navigator at the local B&M. Thing was wobbling around and it wanted to be smoked. Popped it open in the car and loaded my Neerup. Nice!

It really is something special. You should give Peretti’s Royal a try if you haven’t yet so you can compare the two. They source their leaf from Sutliff so I don’t know how long or if there even is anymore Yenidje available. It is similar, but has a sweeter casing and just the yellow Virginia’s in it so it must be based off a later version of the blend. I feel like the reds are missing in it, but it’s still a really great blend.
I haven't tried any Peretti yet. I'm slowly making a list for an upcoming trip to Beantown.

It'd better be: it's the priciest 50g pouch I've ever bought! It's also the richest smelling tobacco I've ever opened.
Here is a tin of Escudo bought in 2003. The coin next to it is a Portuguese 20 Escudos coin, Escudo being the Portuguese currency before they joined the Euro. This is one of my favorite blends.

July 2022 - Sutliff's Eastfarthing.
This is my first light with this blend. I'm looking to see if I need to stock the cellar. I think I like TCS better, and I have yet to try Northwoods. Perfectly good smoke, though. 3.5/4.

New blend, Watch City's Strange Magic Flake. First two flakes out of the bag before I rub them out and smoke them later. Smells great out of the bag!
Kopp Limited Edition Flame 1919 comes in a non-airtight tin, and the tobacco itself is in an unsealed cello bag, so it goes into a jar today.
I must say I really dig the tin and the presentation KOPP put together for that blend.
