Just saw this thread.. Apparently its been going for a while. I will give you a quick example of a hipster/wanna be piper that I ran in to a few months back. I was drinking some cold ones at my local bar when I noticed a young guy around my age (30ish). He had wicked suspenders, big rimmed glasses and some classic chuck tailors. He also happened to have a lovely tobacco pipe in his shirt pocket. Being an avid pipe smoker, of course I had to stop him and ask him what pipe he was using and what type of tobacco he is in to. He replied "oh, I have never smoked it actually". End of story.... :x

I usually have stubble, not a full beard, situation going on. The only thing I hate more than shaving is having an itchy beard.

It's falling into that forum conundrum of, "I love Virginias." "Oh you do? Why do you hate aromatics?" Beards are just beards. Cameras are just cameras. Vinyl is just vinyl. These things are no more owned by hipsters than metal heads own long hair or black tee shirts, or hippies own marijuana.
