You can with a pipe too and you can retrohale a cigarette. Inhaling isn't necessary for nicotine absorption but it can be done that way with either.
I think my quote "You must inhale...." is taken out of context. I didn't mean it as a command, but more as a question. I don't inhale and believe it's not needed to enjoy a pipe. puffy

That's the nice thing about all tobacco products. It's all subjective and relative to the user.

hope you have insurance that covers them, medicare doesn't.
There are others that are great and half the price, if you dont need all the bells and whistles that make offers.

God bless you, and grant you many more years! My wife's dear Uncle Pat -- a linguist, a scholar, a brilliant curmudgeon (though sadly not a pipe smoker) -- would be 79 on St. Patrick's day also! But he passed away just 5 days short of his birthday last year. I raise my pipe to him -- and to you in his memory!
