Official Secret Santa 2014

Got my SS package on Saturday, and opened it up at the local B&M having a smoke with Shaintiques, who was just a wee bit jealous when I opened the box!

Allan sent me tins of two of my favorite tobaccos aged a year: Escudo and FM Cellar, which would have been awesome enough by itself...But digging a bit deeper, I found the note describing the last item in the box. A terrific little unsmoked french pipe that is about 60 years old! It's small and lightweight, making for a quick smoke that is easily clenched. The marking says "Terminus" and it's got two draft holes and a unique metal condenser system that is supposed to cool the smoke and collect tar. I've already smoked a couple bowls in it, and it smokes great!

I've received mine, although I will wait to open it (as per the wife's orders) until Christmas. I'm awaiting a shipment to come in so I can send mine out. I'm looking forward to opening this thing though. The shake test revealed very little but the weight makes me wonder what is in here. Thanks to my SS whoever you are!

My package arrived and I was going to wait till Christmas to open it but I caved, and couldn't hold out!

MANY, MANY Thanks to my SS!! I am SO excited to try these! I've been wanting to try the Aperitif and Durbar for a while now, same for the Modern Virginia. I'm also a huge Pease fan & the Sixpence will be tried tonight!!

Also the box was very nicely gift wrapped, with a nice note too. Again, many many thanks to my SS (Andrea) and Thank You Gunnar for organizing all this!!

Santa says you both need to open it. Notice I said you both, there's something for both of you in there and it's edible and awesome... something from Mississippi and it's not gulf coast shrimp or collards... but it's edible so you gotta open it soon!

Got mine today as well. The postman can rest easy this season. Thanks so much bulldog for the tin of FVF and the tin of GSR. I have never had the sample of Modern Virginia and a bundle of cleaners to boot. I love both tinned blends and will enjoy them tremendously.

Received a 100 gram tin of McClelland's 2002 Christmas Cheer tonight from skapunk1! Thanks a million. I had to take the top off and whiff the contents. Couldn't wait till Christmas. But I will wait till Christmas morning to smoke this. Much appreciated.

Got a tin of McCranie's Red Ribbon- fan of the flake but haven't tried the ribbon, was definitely on the wish list.

Keeping with the McCranie's I got a tin of Somerled- to be honest I've not heard of this blend but the description has got me interested for sure.
