Wilson is an ass clown of the highest order. Only player out there that’s worse for the game right now is Brad Marchand. Cheap, dirty, arrogant, cowardly, and just an all around asshole. And gross on top of that.
He epitomizes everything that is wrong with the game today. Hard to believe he plays with someone who represents some of the best qualities in the game, Patrice Bergeron.
Spot on. If that fucker licked me, I’d join Happy Gilmore as one of two players to take a skate off and use it as a weapon.
Marchand worse than Wilson? ?? yeah right. I can name a half dozen guys worse than Marshy....Corey Perry, Matthew Tkachuk, Hell, Wilson’s teammate Ovechkin is a cheap shot POS, routinely dishes out crotch shots, hits guys when they’re down on the ice, etc. There’s Brendan Lemieux who’s just a reboot of his POS pops Claude. Kadri, he’s a reckless headhunter that’ll go down as one of the dirtiest in history.
So what? It’s a trashy move, but does it rise to the level of intentionally reckless play attempting to maim your opponent? Is it worse than cheap shot to the family jewels?....
How’s about these Tom Wilson specials.... which don’t include “Mr tough guy” throwing punches at Buchnevich while he’s down on the ice, nor throw Panarin down on the ice.

Marchand spears people in the nuts regularly. Head punches to players on the ice, cheap shots then skating away, intent to injure, leg whips, slew foots, ive seen it all out of him.
He’s not big enough (or brave enough) to head hunt like those you’ve mentioned, but as far as sportsmanship, he is the worst the league has to offer.
This is but a small sample. He sets out with the intent to injure, in the least sportsmanlike ways possible.
I’d rather get licked on the face than have a headhunter end my career... just ask Marc Savard.
Or donald brashear. But, as evidenced above, Little Brad has had plenty of shots that could have ended careers. He just doesn’t have the balls, or body to do it flagrantly, so he does it cheaply and does his best to make sure the refs aren’t looking.
Most of the time when he gets challenged to a fight as a result he just wraps up and turtles to the ice so the refs come in. That fight with niskanen is actually one of the few in which he kept his footing for more than a few seconds. He is the most cowardly player I’ve ever watched.
Figures a Pens fan would mention slewfooting, and completely ignore the scumiest slewfooter in NHL history... Matt Cooke?
You’ll get no argument or defense from me about Matt Cooke, he was a hell of a punk himself.
And, as a pens fan, don’t you think I would find any excuse to agree with you regarding Wilson being worse? I am oathbound to hate everything Capitals. That said he is also certainly one of the worst, and your points on Ovechkin are both correct and highly underdiscussed in the media. That and his shockingly selfish play and abhorrent lack of real leadership.

When did I defend Marchand? I simply stated he isn’t WORSE than Wilson, and his infractions don’t rise to the level of Kadri, Perry, Tkachuk, Lemieux...
Yeah thats on another level. I think now he’s just embraced being the Roger Stone of the NHL. He likes being dirty, it keeps him on TV.
To be fair he is also a talented hockey player. A real shame it’s overshadowed by his behavior.
