I am so happy we are watching the Wild go down in flames. They haven’t been relevant since Derek Boogaard...an enforcer.
I was thinking the same about the caps, their usual core stars in Ovie, Kuznetsov, Backstrom, etc. just don’t look like they have the step they used to, especially the latter two. You’re rundown for the games....
Bruins 4 - Caps 1 (series 3-1 B’s)
Preds 5 - canes 4 2OT (series 2-1 Canes)
Jets 1 - Oilers 0 in OT(McDavid and Draisatle 0 pts in first two games!!!) (series Winnipeg 2-Oilers 0)
Avs 5 - Blues 1 (series Avs 3-Blues 0)
Biggest takeaways, Caps looking tired and old; Two phenomenal Overtime games; McDavid and Draisaitle not registering a single point in two games is REALLY strange to see; Avs are just rolling over StLouis and Kadri suspended 8 games.
Vegas is scary right now. Mark Stone is playing better hockey than I’ve ever seen him play, and Fleury looks like he did in 2009. Definitely getting hot at the right time and playing very cohesively as a team.I am so happy we are watching the Wild go down in flames. They haven’t been relevant since Derek Boogaard...an enforcer.
They’ve done more with limited resources and the turnstile coaching staff, than any other franchise over the last 8 or 9 years. I admire how they take ? and come up with a really competitive product. 5 HC’s in last 10 yrs, qualified for playoffs in all but 2 of those seasons, twice knocked off top seed.I am so happy we are watching the Wild go down in flames. Uh, don't bring up Mickey-D, they are a competitor my local QSR and I have to hear the "McNugget Minute" at the end of every period on Caps game tv. Oh, well, I won't have to endure that anymore after this evening's game....This thread must be sponsored by McDonald's because I'm loving it. I just don't dare really get into it because I might actually respond with feeling. Keep it up.

Watching that game tonight I couldn’t help but wonder how any eastern conference team could hope to compete with that pace in a final. The west is FAST right now.
They said that about the Knights in 2018....it will be fun to watch how teams respond outside their division. In watching the playoff games in all four divisions I can't help but wonder how anyone will be able to stop either the Knights or for sure the Avalanche. Fleury is playing out of his mind & I'm still extremely disappointed the Wild gave up Tuch.
Because of McFLUERY!!This thread must be sponsored by McDonald's because I'm loving it.
You going? I’m thinking about driving out there for the game but the prices will probably be high.Vegas will have 11,000 fans in the building. Capacity is just below 19,000. That building will be rocking Monday.
I’m not going to the game. I really enjoy watching on TV and I like my bartender’s pour. You going? I’m thinking about driving out there for the game but the prices will probably be high.
Pierre McGuire..... most annoying, nonsensical, Sydney Crosby knob gobbling, douche. He’s main reason I turn sound off on games. (I’m a B’s fan, but I’ll do the same listening to Jack Edwards) His dumb “so and so played in Saskatoon”, odd trivia, and weird fetish for Sydney Crosby, you can almost hear him orgasm every time he mentions #87.TV coverage is exciting, and I like some analysts better than others, but it really just follows the puck. As an adult convert to the sport who never played a minute of hockey in my life, going to a live game and sitting up high was the first time the real ballet of the sport started to make sense to me. The changes, the fore and back checking, the way passers and shooters move with and around the puck as the play develops.

Miss the banter between Mike Milbury and KEITH jones. He’ll, even Roenick was entertaining (if not almost always inebriated ?). Sharpe is too bland and Vanilla, and Anson doesn’t offer much either. A cool cat not playing, like P.K Subban would certainly be more interesting, or bring in Barry Melrose. Don Cherry would be great, but if CBC can’t handle him, then the current woke audience would certainly blow a gasket.
A bit tired of Doc Emerick and Eddie Olyceck too.
Heck, I’d settle for some New York flair with Al Trautwig.
One of my problems has to do with crowds. I’m not paranoid or anything I just deal with humanity at it’s worst and my circle of who I’d like to hang out with is pretty damn small.TV coverage is exciting, and I like some analysts better than others, but it really just follows the puck. I was born in Chi town, but have been a lifelong B’s fan. Meeting Mr Bobby Orr (greatest NHLer in history... sorry Wayne, but Bobby did it all, Defense, offense (led the LEAGUE in scoring six seasons) and overall ambassador for the sport.I grew up in Boston, and spent my first 30 something years there. I then spent about 13 years in Rhode Island and then from 2013 to 2021 in Florida.
The rules go like this. I was born in Boston so that is the team I have to root for. There is no choice. Just because Tampa won the Stanley Cup last year I cannot claim them as my favorite team. Boston will always be my team and that is that.
If you were born in a place that has no team to root for, then you don't get a team to root for. You are teamless, deal with it.
