What a performance by Barzal tonight. Especially after getting his Barzalsac speared by Krejci. Apparently Marchand is rubbing off on some of his teammates.
Dude, Don Cherry would pay you at least 10k CAD for "Barzalsac." Minimum.

For the record, it took me three tries to spell "Barzalsac" correctly. I blame the Glenlivet.

Kawhi needs to be cautious now. Mark Sheifele could come out of nowhere and floor him with a crushing hit.
Haha in the NBA I think that hit would be a 3,000 game suspension. I think it’s a penalty to get within 2 feet of another player these days. The flops are almost as bad as they are in soccer.

I love that in the NHL if the ref is like “He didn’t hit you that hard, bud.” You get 2 minutes and a fine.

Interesting that NBA doesn’t release their viewership numbers. They simply state headline grabbing “UP 60%!”.........(over last season, which was lowest in history?).
Saw they are also looking for a significant increase in TV revenue for next contract. Last I saw asking $75 BILLION, a 312% increase over the current $24 Billion deal? Decreasing viewership, ergo lower ad revenues, ergo..... Give us more money????? That’s some special type of thought process there.

Hey, Hollywood should take a page out of this book. Increase ticket prices to $35, and point to “Attendance up 200%........... versus last year’s dismal Covid numbers and a downward trend in theater attendance”?????

The Hockey Guy has had similar discussions about the inconsistency of crosschecking penalties, and I was just recently thinking about how inconsistent the penalty calls are in hockey.

I mean, watching my Ducks 2007 Stanley Cup DVD would make you think it took place in 2035. There were so many whistles even though it was a fair bit rougher back then.
