I call them "The Offenderati," and they are everywhere.
It's more than just a natural tendency to be easily bruised. There are hordes of folks who have actually found a way to make a living off of taking offense. They are masterful in their craft. They can find a spark of offense in quite literally anything you say, do or omit, then fan that spark into a raging pyre upon which to burn you in effigy. And, worst of all, if you shoot them, YOU are the one who gets in trouble.
