I have had no desire to smoke since throwing my back out a month ago. Does anyone go through periods of not wanting to smoke for whatever reason?

I lost my desire after a bout with Covid 19 back in December. I think my problem was due to my loss of smell. It is slowly returning. Some blends do taste different though.
Yes. I take weeks or months off regularly, mostly when I'm just to busy to sit and enjoy a bowl.

I think that's your body telling you it is using all its resources to heal from this other challenge. Smoking can restrict the capillaries, the smallest blood vessels, and inhibit healing of every kind. So your disinclination to smoke is a good thing. Give it some time. I've gone off tobacco for various heath situations, all for the best.

After my first Covid-19 vaccine shot I lost my desire to smoke for 2 days. Today I had my second vaccine shot so I'm anticipating losing my desire to smoke, maybe tomorrow if it's anything like my first shot.
