So I’m new and bought a beechwood pipe without doing any research. Is this ok to use? I didn’t even know there was “toxic” pipes.
Welcome from Louisiana! I’m pretty sure Stanwell did a run of beechwood pipes, and I believe that during WWII, when briar was in short supply, many pipes were made of alternative woods, beech being one of them. I think your pipe would probably be ok if it’s beechwood. ?So I’m new and bought a beechwood pipe without doing any research. Is this ok to use? I didn’t even know there was “toxic” pipes.

Secondly, there are many different materials for pipes, but the general rule is to stick to briar if it is wood. You can use pearwood, cherry wood, but briar is the most popular for a reason.
Was this an eBay or aliexpress purchase?
