Let's keep in mind that while the Box Pass is an exceptionally fun idea, and, as the folks at Heinz know, anticipation can be a wonderful thing, nobody is entitled to this box, and the possibility that it will actually reach you intact is not guaranteed.

I'm declaring the box MIA, unfortunately. Cajundad seems to be overwhelmed with life and unable to complete the task. The box will be restarted from my own cellar and sent to the next person on the list on Monday. The list is as follows:

Seriously? We all get busy, don't sign up for the box pass if you can't follow the rules - this is very simple, keep in touch etc. I really hope he gets that box back to you romeo so you can put it back into circulation. I feel like you find out the true nature of people sometimes with this darn box pass. There, I've said it, rant over. If he's truly in trouble or has health problems, then excuse my note.

cajundad has not posted in 7 months, and he logged in two weeks ago without bothering to update this thread for whatever reason he has.

Yes, it's unfortunate that the box stopped with cajundad, but we really do not know the circumstances, do we? I can easily conjure up any number of scenarios that would land me in the same place as cajundad. So I'm not going to pass judgment on him. I'm not in a good position to do so. As for romeowood, I find it admirable that he has it in him to step forward and fill the void. Many people wouldn't do that. I'm not sure that I would. But we'll all benefit by his generosity.

I think one perspective that's being lost in all of this is that it's not a commercial endeavor that anyone's paid for. It's a bunch of friends (or at least amicable acquaintances) trading a taste of their tobaccos. It goes AWOL sometimes. Don't let it ruin your day, it's certainly not going to ruin mine. It's spilt milk. I'm happy to restart it, although doing that every couple of months may become tedious. Just do your best to be a good neighbor and pay it forward. 05, the box may still show up at your door--if it does, just check back on the thread and forward it to the current holder, I can always supply the address.

In addition to some highlights from my open rotation shelf (the one at home, anyway), I've included a bunch of tobaccos from recent and upcoming reviews, and I'd love to hear your feedback on them. My camera's on the fritz, otherwise I'd post a pic, but there's a good amount of tobacco going out, including a sealed tin of Crown Achievement--yes, I liked it so much I stocked my cellar with a couple sleeves of it.

And thank you to those who have offered to help stock the box, I appreciate the thought.

I've followed this thread for a bit. Well, ever since venturer got his panties in a bunch. I had to open it up and read the background. And, I must say, Romeowood is a straight-up good guy. His recent post puts everything in perspective.
If I wasn't in Alaska and so far from America I'd be sorely tempted to join in this undertaking. I think most all of you are having a ball with this box thing. Good on all of ya!
Just the idea of trusting a bunch of guys in this manner, that you really don't know, is admirable.
