A half mile South of Base Line Road, on Cedar County 10 in the wilds of Spout Spring Hollow, in my Amish renter’s harness shop, I saw this:

69E65EC3-4950-456D-86B6-6FE6F9023145.jpeg

I asked him if he sold much, and he replied in the last two years the price has doubled.

With all due seriousness, he said if you try taking that yourself it will make you sick as a dog. It’s formulated for a thousand pound horse.

He lowered his eyes, bashful like, and asked why anybody would take horse wormer instead of going to the doctor if they got sick with Covid.

I replied thank your folks you don’t watch cable television or have the internet. There’s all manner of false prophets on there.

We settled up for the year, and he had his buggy hitched to take his family off in Spout Spring Hollow to visit neighbors and have a get together on Saturday night.

My car won’t go much further back on Cedar County 10, and I had to get home, anyhow.

They are having more fun tonight than I am, that’s for sure and certain.

I suppose one could figure out the actual dosage in the equine version and either divide it carefully or dilute it and then divide it for human use. Not that big of a deal... Of course that wouldn't have been an issue if they hadn't made it ILLEGAL for doctors to prescribe it.

What was incredibly disingenuous was the media's demagoguery of the issue after Joe Rogan publicly raised the point and made it extra pointy. Rather than debate the actual merits, the powers that be (with a capitol B as in billions) put out a full court press to mock the idea, and avoid an actual debate of the facts (anybody notice a trend here?) In 2015 the Nobel Prize in Medicine was given for research indicating the drug's efficacy with malaria in HUMANS. And before anyone says that that was for Malaria, I think it is fair to point out - that itself was off-label. And if they were really against off-label usage of drugs, a large percentage of drug prescriptions would be shut down. They are not at all against off label usage of drugs, only in specific situations where there is a bigger issue at stake.

The banning of Ivermectin and Hydroxycloroquine were all about forcing people to take specific treatments. Like so many things, there are second and third order causes and effects in play.

4 Modernas and 1 Pfizer. I’ve never had Covid as far as I know. Nor has my long suffering wife. Two years ago I lost my big sis to Covid. She was schizophrenic so it’s impossible to say whether she would have taken the vaccine, but none were available when she died. I don’t know why anyone does anything nowadays, but life is good. Light a pipe in peace tonight.

Precisely, but we gotta remember we're normally talking to people who are products of an educational system that has dumbed down the curriculum and declared war on math.

As for the drug itself, during the trials of it, it was administered in doses 30 times the recommended dosage and no harmful effects were recorded. If there's a safe drug/treatment out there, ivermectine is it.

As for the horse thing, well, as a former veterinarian I can vouch for ivermectine as being truly safe and effective. Not something I'd ever say of the gene therapy they've been doling out.

When were either banned? There were numerous studies on Hydrocloroquine that indicated that it was ineffective and actually caused heart problems with subjects, As for Ivermectin, the developer and manufacturer of the product went on record saying it was useless for treating Covid. I suspect they would know.
Of course, there's always drinking urine...

Fair enough, banned was perhaps to strong a word. However, disincentivized, cajoled, threatened, fired and otherwise harassed are not. In my experience people can be convinced to say all manner of things, especially when both the carrot and stick are in play as they have been, massively, during this whole debacle.

Of course, there's always drinking urine...
I totally get the idea of mocking that which is not understood and sounds ridiculous. That said, I actually heard more than I wanted to about this and the genesis of it, which came from some relatively well respected Swiss naturopathic consortium. My wife, a nurse who was working for a well respected naturopath at the time, tried to explain the rather convoluted process and it made my head explode.

That said, it sounded much more plausible than the entire official story. This thing just developed out of thin air because some folks ate some bats from the market next to the WIV who was partering with the usual supects on GOF research. Having done hands on, practical work in the field, the official story seemed patently and ridiculously false from the get go. Way too many coincidences in this rabbit hole, but it requires some intestinal fortitude to explore with an open mind, as it is worldview shattering.

Well, in some places of the world they were indeed banned, basically, by means of the socialised health care system forbidding doctors to prescribe them and/or pharmacists to fill up prescriptions. One doctor in Alta. was fired from the hospital for treating his patients with it.

The origin of this virus is unknown. Maybe it was a lab leak, maybe this jumped from one species to another, which has happened in the past. Certainly, the CCCP has stonewalled any investigation by an international group, but that unfortunately doesn't prove anything since they view any such project as a threat to their control in the largest sense.
The Pasteur Institute did genetic sequencing on the virus, backtracking its various components and delivered a peer reviewed report last year that favored an interspecies jump as far more likely.

My son just came back from five weeks in Japan, and he went to a lot of concerts, hung out with musicians, hit the clubs and generally drank deeply of what was offered to him. Japan spent effort on creating an effective tracking system so they never had to shut down.

I asked him what percentage of people were masked and his reply was, "Everyone. They don't screw around with Covid in Japan."

To move away from personal opinions toward some data, cases and deaths, Japan VS the US:

In Japan and Korea, they had mask on even before the COVID. Nothing wrong with wearing mask, but in this case, it's more of cultural paranoia about any possible disease including common cold. And air pollution in most cities.

I guess it all comes down to who and what one trusts. And what one is willing to accept.

LOL. All joking aside, the idea that the pangolin eating, dinner bat (or whatever/whichever convoluted story is being profered at this moment) is the cause for all this and now we all just need to get our shots (at taxpayer largess and billions in profits to the usual suspects), is much more palatable than the alternative... Because the alternative is infinitely more dangerous.

I've had my first three shots of the four available to my age group in the Netherlands. Doubt I'll get the fourth one. I've had it once for sure, the second time the tests where inconclusive.

In some way I'm in the middle of the spectrum. Do I think it works and you should do it for yourself? Yes. Do I think a government should induce draconian rules like lockdowns, curfews, maskmandates, closing down facilities like bars and restaurants, but also gyms for unvaxed and use apps for digital tracking your "state of health" (as far as anyone with a cell phone can't be tracked) are acceptable? No. There has been invested a lot of money into this. The fact that most people on the ICU or deaths where either at their end of lifespan, overweight or having respitory issues anyway (not saying those people should not be helped by any means) was denied. The fact a more healthy lifestyle and government could help with that to do something basic like making fruits and vegetables free of VAT was denied. The fact there has been no large campaign to attract more Healthcare workers, while a lot of workers quit during the epidemic because they didn't get the basic needs like masks and gloves supplied was denied. The only thing what was said "get vaxed, wear your mask, stay inside and stfu" was the only communication you got.

This might all sound a bit salty and I must admit the last few years havent been much different for me than the others before as I'm typically living like a recluse while not working, but for those in society that where hit harder by the measures than covid itself I feel very sorry. I have smaller kids that where fine sitting at home during a lockdown, at that time my wife didn't have work so she could take care of the them while I worked, but for those who had issues with kids staying at home and having to work at the same time while daycares being closed and grandparents not available for obvious reason I feel sorry.

I could have bought out my Amish renter’s entire stock of it for a fifty dollar bill. He keeps about a half dozen tubes on hand to sell to other Amish to worm horses. It was $7.50 a tube. He said before Covid it was not quite $4.

The Amish read instructions on labels and follow them. They have regular checkups, see dentists, avoid chiropractors, quacks, and folk remedies.

They do not lie, cheat, steal, smoke or drink booze, or buy coffee, although in the tourist stores on the blacktop they sell coffee, to the “English”.

My Amish friend said, that after that rich man died from Covid the summer before last, there was such a run on Ivermectin at the tourist stores, the Amish community decided to only allow Ivermectin to be sold in out of the way places, like his shop.

Instead of buying that tube of Ivermectin to give as a joke gift to JC, I thought better, and instead bought a belt the Amish use that is cut to size in the shop.

It was marked $14, and he duly charged and collected 91 cents tax, and I left 9 cents in a little cup for the next customer.

Give unto Caesar, that which is his.

What I love the most about the Amish, is they also believe Christ sees all, even in Spout Spring Hollow.

Interesting stereotype you've got there. I have a huge Amish community near me. Not only do they adhere to strange folk remedies, but they sell various tonics based on same and have a couple faith healers who accept donations for healing any English wanting help. And these are Old Order Amish, not the new order who carry cellphones, drive diesel tractors, and the like.

The local Amish also buy and drink coffee, as well as whiskey, although the latter is for when they're sick. And they have their own Amish dentist - I've never heard of an Amish seeing an English doctor or dentist, but I know of an old coot who insists on only seeing Amish healers and the dentist. They hire local hippie midwives for birthings. Could be the community near you is different than the community near me.

And then there's this guy, a local. If you look at the pictures, you will notice despite being Old Order, he had no qualms about running illegal electricity to his "project barn":

One of the local country grocer's still has a "Free Appleby" sticker outside. The local rumor is that the Amish are disavowing him because the operation was much bigger than what the law found.

Each Amish community makes its own rules, and the Humansville Amish community has an incredible similarity to the Campbellites they displaced, or rather bought up farms from old time Christians.

My father would never, have sold one drop of unpasteurized milk retail at any price. As the head elder of the Humansville Christian Church he’d have not allowed the preacher to ask for a tithe, or stray one inch outside the “red letters” of the four gospels in any sermon.

The Amish around Spout Spring Hollow migrated from Kentucky starting maybe forty years ago, no doubt having long associated with Campbellites, and referred here.

My Amish friend says they never kneel to pray, and at their congregations, in public, only recite the Lord’s Prayer.

For the Lord knows what we need, before we even ask.

They follow the same Master, as I do.
