Between the Heart of Alabama and Hot Springs NC
Columbia TN is the Mule Capital of the world.
I beg to differ, my hometown of Hartselle, AL is the Mule capital of the world. Ha ha. They hold a Mule Day Parade every year that is the largest in the world.
I avoid that whole area during that week, ha ha.

I wish that I could change plans, but when I make a promise I have to stick to it. Damn.

Columbia TN is the Mule Capital of the world. Change your plans @cosmicfolklore . Also it happens every year.

I will be checking yall all in. Giving wristbands etc. I'm super cool and handsome too so it will be easy to tell it's me.
Hey, on that note, I'm trying to get there tomorrow night, but I'll be coming from east Knoxville and leaving about 3:45 ET. If I get there, it'll be right at 7. If I end up there at 7:15 or something, will anyone still be able to check me in or am I out of luck?

I am planning to attend! This will be my first pipe show as well. I’ve visited Briarworks a couple times during normal business, so it will be interesting to see the conversion.

Keep in mind that Columbia is in Central Time, in case that isn’t part of your current calculation.
It is, but westbound Friday evening Knoxville traffic is also a big concern. That time of day, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours to drive across town, depending on how lucky you are.

Oh, right. Traveling during rush hour is rough.

Are many folk planning to be at the lounge Friday night? As I understand from the schedule, the actual show starts Saturday, but there’s just a social gathering Friday night.

Usually the place is packed friday and the factory is opened with tables for pipers to gather and smoke and visit. It's just as fun as the show in different ways. Plus the precheck will speed up saturday.

Well, he lived there but he was born in NC. We claim him either way and have a cool Museum of his house.

Mules, Polks and Pipes... it's a heck of a small town.
