I believe it’s technically the last Sutliff release ever—if I’m remembering correctly, a bunch of a tobacco that was thought to possibly be moldy and was intended to be discarded—someone set it aside and it aged in a room under heat and resulted in a tasty batch and is being released in large bricks. I might have the details wrong. @crashthegrey would know better.
Yes, it is called Sweated because it was heated in the Virginia sun for a year before being checked and found to have no mold after all. It was then aged in port barrels and pressed into half pound bricks of full leaf tobacco. The boxes will contain two bricks, sealed, for a pound total. This was a Cringle Flake, so Virginias once destined for McClelland and aged perique. It was fantastic before the barrels on the test pressing, it will be even better now. Last Sutliff release ever and Jeremy's farewell to the hobby. It will be priced way too low, too.

Hope someone can grab a box for me ;)

Those hotels at that Exit are the closest ones beside the only in town hotel. Lots of Air bnb type spots all over the county and such.

I'll be there, along with a crew from Louisville.
We've got an Air BnB close to downtown Columbia. Hoping it's within walking distance of Briarworks.

It's my first Muletown since the first year (was it 2019?)

How easy is parking there? It looks... not easy. lol

I live nearby, but am unable to attend due to previous plans (garden season and then a friend is in town, so we'll be tying one on tight that evening). Parking can be a cluster at times, but there's plenty of street parking, including across the Duck River in the neighborhood. Essentially, anywhere there isn't a "No Parking" sign is fair game. Columbia cops don't play around anymore, so double check you're not parked in a loading or fire zone.

Incidentally, if you like beer, there is a great brewery 15 minutes south in Mt Pleasant called Twisted Copper. Great beers and seltzers and a fun atmosphere, although they are only open until 10 on Saturday. They do have Sunday hours.

We need to do SoMeThInG. It is my first show and only the 2nd opportunity to meet anyone from the forum. I want to meet as many of you all as I can.
First show EVER?
I'd say it's a pretty good one to start with. Large enough for a good variety of tables, but still cozy.
I'd be stoked if Briarworks lounge was my local watering hole.

The weather forecast doesn't look especially grand, but we will survive.

I probably stick out more than many (tall, no beard). Despite the likely scowl on my puss, I'm happy to say hello to anyone from here.

Crap, I wish the OP had put "Pipe Show" in the title. I had no idea, and now I have already dedicated my time to something else. Would have loved to go, and it's only a couple of hours away.

Why did they put Muletown in the title? Sounds like a hillbilly something or other that I would avoid at all costs.

That’s the name of the show and the category is Pipe Events, so the context was relatively clear.
