I just smoked a little of G.L. Pease Stratford last night out of a MM Dagner Cob.

I bought it in April, been sitting in a jar 4 and a half months. This was the first time to smoke this blend, I also dried it out for a hour pretty crispy.

To my surprise there was no odd tastes! :)

This is Red Virginia tobaccos with Louisiana Perique.

I’m starting to wonder if maybe this has been a reaction to my tabac being to moist before... hmm
In one of your earliest posts you said you didn't want Vit C with zinc. I didn't get into the details of why...
But.
I once used a liquid zinc supplement that specifically provided a metallic taste upon taking it, but only until the body had enough zinc to fall within a more normal range - then no more metallic taste. That was part of the guidelines for daily consumption / supplementation.
Related?
I don't know.
But if it piques a curiosity and a path of searching that helps, then I'm happy to have provided my first 2 cent thought that occurred while reading this old thread.
Good luck.

Oh, I was referring to a specific brand of Vitamin C with Zinc is all, that I didn’t take that particular brand with the zinc.

Zinc is good stuff… 👍

As for metallic tastes, I’m no longer experiencing this. It just seems like the PH of VAs are irritating the roof of my mouth, or if not the PH, maybe some sensitivity to other things about them.

I smoked some La Brumeuse last night, at first I felt some irritation, but as I smoked more it subsided. It seems like after smoking the La Brumeuse, the PH of that helped my mouth, like how it’s suggested when smoking higher Alakaline blends which are VAs, you want to drink something acidic to help with irritation/bite.

Seems to make sense, smoke a more acidic blend and get relief.

All I know is after smoking the La Brumeuse my mouth feels a lot better.
