It's a pipe according to Paronelli (they've four on their website at the moment), but it's a truly stupid design: I wish I'd actually thought before I pulled the trigger on it. Hey ho - live & learn!
This is the first year I'm a part of Meer Madness! Exciting!

My meer arrived shortly after my last post in this thread. I am only a bowl and a half in, but I think I'm already a believer. ...I feel like having two of these would give my collection a better balance...?
Another one has come over to the light side, which will eventually become the dark side.

Really loving this pipe! I have smoked some F&T CVP, GLP Embarcadero, and GLP Regent's Flake in it so far -super dry, full of flavor.

My Altinay I've had about six weeks, smoked two or three times per day. Coloring nicely.
How do you like it? Finding myself more interested in this topic as days tick by...
I was gifted the CAO meerschaum a couple of years ago but a fellow pipe smoker who disappeared from the forums a couple of weeks later. A very good "corn cob" pipe.
I'm not smoking the Meers a lot just because I want to see them color. They are very neutral and they smoke very dry.
I found that my meers smoked so dry they made up for some amount of my bad form. I’d smoke the same blend in the same way in a briar and a meer, and end up with no dottle in the meer. Also, I wouldn’t get that change in taste at the end of a bowl signifying wet tobacco trying to burn at the end.
I’m definitely interested. Well, I guess I’m vested at this point. I have one meer already, but it’s nothing special, the stem is nearly impossible to get a cleaner through, and even so I’ve noticed the smoking qualities of it to be above average. I’m very keen on finding out how a quality one smokes.
