Some still use it. I can see the plant in the tobacco. Fortunately I am burning it and not eating it.
I have heard DeerTongue can ghost pretty strong. I purchased a MM Diplomat for Gentlemen Caller. I’ve not tried anything else in that pipe. It’s for sure an old timer taste and smell. I like it, but not every day thing.
I don't get along well with burley blends........... I tried an oz. of crooner and loved the DT element, but the burley was harsh and acrid to me. If they made a DT blend with some quality VA, I think I'd be all over that.....
DT and Virginia is an interesting concept. It pairs so well with burley, I'm just unsure how it would taste with a Virginia forward blend.
I think Gentlemen Caller is supposed to be Virginia forward. Just ordered 2 tins. I'll let you know.
Dangit, I've been hearing about deer tongue for years now, but usually there is more of a repulsed reaction from members. Now, I feel obligated to try it.
