A number of people have gotten hints of Lakeland-like floral flavor popping up even in blends that aren't allegedly topped with it -- I just assume it's the cross pollination, so to speak, that might happen in a small, by-hand blending shop.
To respond to Mike N's excellent description, I don't think it's the Latakia that gives Blend W the spice note -- it's a dried chile taste, not smokey or perfumy, and JimInks says in his review that it's coming from the Burley. I like it, but it may not be to everybody's taste.
333 is good, solid burley, plain and simple (or not so plain, if you've got one of those fine-tuned palates).
To me, Deluxe Crumb Cut is a crossover aro blend; the cocoa and licorice note is very up front -- I think it works really well with the burley, but it's a different category from blends like 333 or even W. DD is in the same crossover category, but with that LJP soapy stuff, it's going in a completely different direction -- sometimes I think it's great, sometimes I'm thinking, "why did they ruin a perfectly good bunch of burley with this S%$#?"
Haven't tried WCC Waltham, but I'm adding it to the list. Ernie Q. is one of the best!
