Really? I had no idea.
Or so I read once... the Koreans I know here can really knock it back!

I was just trying to find some information on it. Site full of commercials and other shit. So nothing too informative, with lots of contradictions.Or so I read once... the Koreans I know here can really knock it back!
Yeah, that's a little under half of what we're paying. Here in PA, I'm able to get:
Buffalo Trace - $25
Makers Mark - $30
Old Forester 1920 - $55-60 (but hard to find)

They sure can, but! during a drinking session, shall we say, they take it in turns to sleep, so whilst you're there all of the time, they do a relay.
I remember one time we were out with the yard guys and one guy arrived late. Everyone who was there at the original time of arrival were all doing very nicely. So this guy arrives, making the usual apologies bowing and scraping, when one of his colleagues thrust a bottle of soju into his hand and demanded that he neck it right there and then.
Well of course, this poor guy couldn't say his name, let alone stand, by the time we left the last bar. But in all fairness, he was ready for his work the following day, albeit a touch jaded. ???
This thread makes me wonder how young Korean women rate various nationalities of non-Korean men. Hmmm. My late wife taught at a girl's college and it was remarkable what you could overhear on campus, if judgmental evaluations of the opposite sex are of interest.
I still have about half a bottle of their sherry oak cask strength:I’d never heard of Kavalan but a quick search resulted in a number of bottles with a broad range of prices. Do you have any experience with the moderately priced offerings ($100 range) ? If so any advice re what to purchase/avoid?

Thanks for the information. I think I’m going to try to find myself a bottle. It’s always fun to try something new.I still have about half a bottle of their sherry oak cask strength:

This is no longer available but I think is basically the same as their Oloroso Cask but a much higher ABV (58.6% vs 46%).
I'd like to give the 46% a try since the cask strength is fantastic but really strong. It's about $149 locally.
I plan on picking up a bottle of their Classic as soon as it's back in stock.
Used to be.Isn't it customary there to go out with the boss and keep up with his drinking on his or her dime?
Good point, mso489. Most Koreans, in fact all Koreans are extremely conservative. They're not interested in anybody/thing outside of their circle. They don't appreciate brash or over familiar people, until they get to know you. But then, I think they only kind of tolerate it, because you've been allowed into the "circle".This thread makes me wonder how young Korean women rate various nationalities of non-Korean men. Hmmm. Maker's Mark +/-USD60Some sample prices in Louisiana where you can walk into gas stations, drug stores and grocery stores to buy booze.
All 750 ml bottles
Maker’s Mark regular $20.99
Maker’s Mark Cask Strength $40.99
Woodford Reserve $27.99
Bulleit Bourbon $21.99
Gentleman Jack $26.99
I haven't bought any of these in five or six years. I've upped my game and usually by craft or small distillery spirits.
Dang, that's high.North Carolina A.B.C. state controlled pricing:
Maker’s Mark - $33.95
Woodford Reserve - $39.95
Buffalo Trace - $28.95
Eagle Rare - $33.95
That was pricing last time I bought those labels, but the prices are jumping up monthly it seems.
Well hold on there, Puff_not_Snuff,Nothing like a bunch of dumpy dudes rating the women of the world on a pipe forum!
Romaso,@Honkytonk Man Have you looked into mail order? You may have import taxes or duties, but you might still come out ahead. A couple sites I see (but haven't ordered from):
