Funny you ask. It's one of the few pipes I've ever owned that had to have its airway enlarged. Tasted fine but kept going out every time it was set down for even 5-10 seconds.
Went up in size from 3mm / .118" to .1285" (a #30 machinist's drill). Not much, but it did the trick. The wee pipe is now an excellent smoker. It gets fed a regular diet of GH&Co's Kendal Dark shag cut, and purrs like a kitten. :puffy:
I’ve Rick Newcomed about a dozen of my pipes with great success! I highly recommend it. A lot of the older pipes were commonly drilled much too narrow for my personal preference.

I picked it up at a yard sale about 15 years ago, I think I paid around $20 for it and have been enjoying it ever since
