Very interesting stuff guys.
I am still kicking myself for not grabbing my grandfathers old tobacco jar when we were clearing out the house. It hadn't been used for years and was full of elastic bands.

A gift from my lovely wife:

In the sticks in Mississippi
I've had this H. Simmons ashtray for about 30 years, and found the matching bowl (for a kitty cat?) about ten years later. Both are made by Pearson's of Chesterfield. I think that H. Simmons was a tobacco shop in London. Mostly use this ashtray inside.

Mines an old candy dish I found at the flee market, I glued a cork in the center.
I don't have a picture, I would have to clean it up first! Also photo bucket is dead to me and I have yet to find a replacement service...

How interesting. I don't have an ash tray, I usually just dump on the ground. Heathen. As a Northerner (upstate NY) all of the wasp, and now spider, spray as pipe accessories made me laugh as well. Thanks for the interesting pictures.

Incidentally, that Dunhill is delightful to my eyes! Is that factory production, or your own craftsmanship?

What an exquisite pipe!
Indeed. Alfred dun good.
How does it smoke?
Funny you ask. It's one of the few pipes I've ever owned that had to have its airway enlarged. Tasted fine but kept going out every time it was set down for even 5-10 seconds.
Went up in size from 3mm / .118" to .1285" (a #30 machinist's drill). Not much, but it did the trick. The wee pipe is now an excellent smoker. It gets fed a regular diet of GH&Co's Kendal Dark shag cut, and purrs like a kitten. :puffy:

I'm pretty sure that's what shrinks call "reinforcing bad behavior".
Not that I'm complaining, understand. 8)
Simone looks to be very... efficient. :D
Excuse me while I go accidentally spill all my ashtrays on the floor.

Damn. It wasn't even a picture, just a silhouette of a cartoon woman. A fully dressed one at that.
Sometimes this place confuses me.

Apparently we offended the sensibilities of one of our esteemed Moderators.
It is not about my sensibilities or personal opinions, but the rules, Tim. Sorry for that.
Somehow it's just not the same, is it?
Nah, she is not wearing an underwear.

George, I wouldn't have deleted that silhouette of a cartoon woman if there hadn't been that comment of yours:
Excuse me while I go accidentally spill all my ashtrays on the floor.
