Ok folks, here is my problem. I have recently discovered that I like latakia (who knew?)

I have been experimenting with English style tobacco's as I have pretty much been an aromatic guy for years.

I was always pretty sure I'm sensitive to Virginia tobacco but I proved this fact recently by buying and smoking Petersons London Mix (mostly Virginia and Orientals). Hated it and it immediately started to burn my tongue, didn't finish one whole bowl of the tin.
I really like FROG MORTON which either doesn't have any Virginia in it or very little but does have Latakia and Orientals a combo I seem to like.
So LATAKIA lovers, what should I buy next based on the above?

You might want to try C&D Odessa. According to TR.com, it's similar to the old Balkan Sobranie (white can). It has no VA in it, just Burley, Latakia, Turkish, and Perique. Reviews can be found here: http://tobaccoreviews.com/blend_detail.cfm?ALPHA=9&TID=385

Wow, with a question like that I expect your gonna get alot of different answers. If I remember correctly you got the original Frog Morton which only has Virginia/Latakia blend, no Orientals. Frog Morton Across the Pond has Orientals added. So here go my suggestions.
Penzance

SPC Plum Pudding

GLP Lagonda

GLP Odyssey

Any of the Frogs

And if you really wanna get smacked in the face with some Latakia try C&D Pirate Kake (It's good!)

Petersons London Mix

I have never heard of this, and can't find it on Peterson's home page. Did you mean Dunhill London?

Very few tobacco blends don't have Virginias - almost every blend, afaik,is either virginia or burley based. The description from smokingpipes.com says
Frog Morton is a unique blend of Virginias and Latakia.
I personally dislike the Frog blends - I've smoked 2 of 'em,and have no desire to deal with any more. My favorite latakia blends are Old Dublin, McCranie's Murdock's Pipe,Squadron Leader, and Penzance.

Yes indeed, the EMP is good! I am working on a tin of Estorica Margate now that I find quite mild but tasty.

Americian Patriot from Sterlings Tobocco is good as is Larry's Blend from P&C

Yes, sorry guys it is Dunhill London Mix not Peterson. So many tins, so little time.

If you liked EMP and the Frogs, I can reccommend The New York Pipe Club's Jack's Shanty and Hell's Kitchen. HERE is a thread with my reviews, which were done blind (no description or knowledge of what was in them). When I smoked them EMP and Froggy on the Bayou were both brought to mind. I also reccommend H&H Black House which is my favorite Balkan of alltime!

I too have recently discovered a fondness for English blends. I have tried so,e of the Frogs and penzzance. This discussion gives me a few more blends to sample.

Latakia is the True Path. :D
For anyone looking for lat bombs, two I have not seen mentioned here are Star of the East Flake from C&D, and Captain Earle's Ten Russians, from Hermit Tobacco. Both are very worthy smokes. :puffy:

Try a small sample of Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s Balkan Mixture; you can't get much more oriental or much better tobacco than this. If you like it, it's available bulk.
